The number of purchases and sales of real estate in Kazakhstan amounted to 223,391 transactions over the period from January through May 2021, which is 2.5 times more than during the same period of 2020, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.
The total number of buy/sell transactions in Kazakhstan in May 2021 amounted to 48,351 transactions which is 19 percent less than in Apr. 2021 and 2.8 times more than during the same month of 2020.
The largest number of transactions was observed in Almaty city where it amounted to 6,118 transactions, which is 23.1 percent less than in Apr. 2021 and 2.7 times than in May 2020.
Almaty city is followed by Karaganda region with 6,055 transactions, which is 16.9 percent less than during Apr. 2021 and 2.7 times more than in May 2020.
Mangystau region takes third place (5,135 transactions in May 2021), showing a 41.4-percent decrease compared to Apr. 2021 and 6.7-times increase compared to May 2020.
The least number of purchases and sale of housing transactions during May 2021 was observed in the North Kazakhstan region (804 transactions, decrease by 6.1 percent compared to April 2021 and increase by 34.7 percent compared to May 2020).
