Copper ores and concentrates reclaimed first place in the list of top export items in Georgia, equaling $390 million or 20.7 percent of total exports, Trend reports via the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).
The exports of motor cars totaled $205.4 million and their share in the total exports amounted to 10.9 percent. The ferroalloys exports occupied the third-place standing at $186.3 million and constituting 9.9 percent of the total exports.
The top import commodities from January through June 2021 were motor cars whose imports equaled $371.4 million (8.6 percent of the total imports).
The copper ores and concentrates followed in the list with $335.5 million or 7.8 percent of imports. The petroleum and petroleum oils were third in the top import commodity list with $327.2 million (7.6 percent of imports).
