BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 22

Tamilla Mammadova – Trend:

Ukrainian business is interested in entering in Free Industrial Zones (FIZ) in Georgia, said Executive Director of Ukrainian-Georgian Business Council Elena Kudliaka, Trend reports via Georgian media.

She notes that the benefits, which exist in free industrial zones are especially attractive for the private sector.

"Representatives of Ukrainian business in Georgia are primarily interested in free industrial zones because there is no such mechanism in Ukraine. There are many benefits for companies operating in this area, which will be of interest to Ukrainian companies. Therefore, it does not matter from which sector the interest will be, however, the fact is that the environment and conditions will be a significant impetus for them," said Kudliaka.

Meanwhile, there are a number of tax benefits for companies located in free industrial zones operating in Georgia, for example, they are 100 percent exempt from VAT, profit, dividend, and property taxes.
