Iran declares value of mining products exports

The value of Iran's mining products exports amounted to $1.29 billion in the 3rd month of the current Iranian year (May 22 through June 21, 2021), Trend reports citing Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).

According to the report, the exports of steel ingots and steel products accounted for 65.9 percent of Iran's mining products exports in terms of value, copper – 11.6 percent, zinc – 3.2 percent, sponge iron – 3 percent, aluminum – 2.9 percent, cement – 2 percent, pellets – 1.4 percent and various mining stones – 1.1 percent.

“As well as the exports of granules accounted for 0.9 percent Iran's mining products exports in terms of value, lead – 0.7 percent, ferrosilicon – 0.2 percent, iron concentrate – 0.2 percent, molybdenum and ferromolybdenum – 0.4 percent, ceramics – 0.2 percent, chromium – 0.2 percent and other products – 6.1 percent,” the report said.

According to the statistics of the Iranian Steel Producers Association (ISPA), Iran exported 873,000 tons of steel products in the first three months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through June 21, 2021).

The exports increased by 125 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year.
