Azerbaijan’s value of export to Turkey has decreased from January to July 2021, Trend reports on Aug.18 citing the statistical bulletin of Azerbaijani State Customs Committee.
According to the bulletin, this showing amounted to $1.54 billion, down 10 percent on annual basis.
Turkey's share in Azerbaijan's total exports in the first seven months of 2021 made up 13.51 percent against 18.72 percent in the same period of 2020.
Meanwhile, Azerbaijan's imports from Turkey amounted to $962.3 million, and the share of this country in the total Azerbaijani import increased by 0.56 percent for the year - up to 15.28 percent.
The value of foreign trade operations between the two countries for the first seven months of this year exceeded $2.5 billion (a decrease of three percent on annual basis), while the trade balance remained positive - $577.25 million.
In general, Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover from January to July 2021 made up nearly $17.7 billion. Of these, exports accounted for $11.39 billion (64.4 percent), and imports - $6.3 billion (35.6 percent).
