In recent years, $3 billion has been invested in the city of Batumi in the form of private investments, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said, Trend reports referring to the Georgian media.
He made this statement at a meeting on the presentation of the candidate for mayor of Batumi Archil Chikovani.
According to the head of government, dozens of hotels have opened in Batumi over the past eight years.
“Our joint efforts since 2012 have yielded a number of concrete tangible results. Today Batumi is one of the fastest-growing cities. Batumi is historically known as one of the most advanced cities, bringing civilization, development, and progress to our country. In recent years, 3 billion dollars have been invested in this city in the form of private investments,” Garibashvili said.
