In total, 223,000 tons of goods worth $192 million were exported from the Kashan County of Isfahan Province (central Iran) during the first five months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through August 22, 2021), an official of Isfahan Province Customs Office Ali Morad Nowrouzi told IRNA, Trend reports.
Nowrouzi said that exports for the 5 months increased by 112 percent in terms of value and 43 percent in terms of volume, compared to the same period last Iranian year.
“The main exported goods were steel, fittings, factory carpets, chemicals, rose water, wire, kitchen utensils, healthcare products, water conditioners, copper, organic chemicals and aluminum,” he added.
According to the official, these goods were mainly exported to more than 20 countries, including Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Japan, China, the UAE, Bahrain, Spain, Great Britain, Sweden, Canada, Australia, Germany, Brazil, Bulgaria, etc.
Reportedly, before the coronavirus pandemic in Iran's Kashan County, 46,000 people worked in 1.5 industrial enterprises. About 200 types of goods are produced in this county.
