Iran's Saipa records increase in manufacturing

Passenger cars manufacturing of Iran’s Saipa Group increased by 0.53 percent during the first six months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through September 22, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, reads the report of information service (codal.ir) under the Securities and Exchange Organization of Iran, Trend reports.

According to the report, the Saipa manufactured 165,463 passenger cars in 6 months.

Meanwhile in the same period last Iranian year, the figure stood at 164,586 passenger cars.

So, the company manufactured 143,493 units Tiba, 10,952 units “Saipa 151” and 9,733 units Shahin and 130 units Ario cars over 6 months.

In addition, the company manufactured and exported 195 Completely Built Up (CBU) passenger cars and 960 Completely Knocked-Down (CKD) spare parts.

“Also, in the 6th month of the current Iranian year (August 23 through September 22, 2021), the company manufactured 33,794 passenger cars,” the report said.

Reportedly, three giant Iranian automakers (Iran Khodro, Saipa and Pars Khodro) manufactured 429,414 passenger cars in the first 6 months of the current Iranian year, which is an increase of 0.87 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year. So, these companies had manufactured about 426,695 passenger cars in the same period last Iranian year.
