The production volume of iron ores in Kazakhstan amounted to 53.1 million tons from January through October 2021, which is 2 percent more than during the same period of 2020, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.
According to the data, iron ores production amounted to 5.2 million tons in October 2021, which is 5.6 percent less than in October 2020.
Production of copper ores increased by 13 percent during the reporting months, having amounted to 101 million tons (9.6 million tons in October 2021, a decrease by 2.9 percent compared to the same month in 2020).
Production of zinc and copper ores amounted to 5.1 million tons during the reporting period, which indicates a decrease of 12.6 percent compared to the same period of last year.
The production volume of zinc and copper ores was 483,300 tons in October 2021, which is 0.9 percent less in October 2020.
Production of gold ores amounted to 27.1 million tons over the reporting period, which is 27 percent more than during the same period of 2020. The volume of gold ores produced in October 2021 was 2.8 million tons, which is 9.3 percent more than in October 2020.
Production of lead and zinc ores amounted to 6.9 million tons, which is 43.5 percent more than during the same period of 2020 (482,600 tons in October 2021, down by 2.2 percent compared to October 2020).
As reported, the production of manganese ores amounted to 990,400 tons, which is 54.8 percent more than during the same period of 2020 (125,600 tons in October 2021, an increase of 49.7 percent compared to October 2020).
Production of chrome ores amounted to 5.09 million tons, which is 5.3 percent less than during the same period of 2020 (705,000 tons in October 2021, an increase of 37.7 percent compared to October 2020).
