Trend:

Iran and China trade ties are improving, head of Iran-China Joint Chamber of Commerce Majidreza Hariri told Trend in an interview.

Iran has exported 29 percent of its non-oil exports to China during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2021), Hariri noted.

"Iran imported 23 percent of its total imports directly from China. China is also re-exporting goods from the UAE to Iran," he indicated.

The statistics show Iran and China's trade relations are improving, but the trade value has shrunk due to a decline in global trade during the past year, Hariri said.

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian is planning to visit China next week, Hariri said, adding that Amir-Abdollahian is scheduled to hold talks on bilateral trade during his visit with Chinese officials.
