SECO - State Secretariat for Economic Affairs of Switzerland, stands ready to consider new project ideas in Azerbaijan, SECO told Trend.
“The current thematic focus for SECO financed projects in Azerbaijan is on macroeconomic stability and business environment. But as in the past, SECO stands ready to consider new project ideas, provided they are based on a qualified demand, the necessary prerequisites are in place and that they relate to the SECO's thematic expertise. And of course: that all stakeholders involved are working towards a maximized impact of these projects,” said the Swiss state secretariat.
SECO noted that the new Swiss Cooperation Program for the South Caucasus Region covers the years 2022 until 2025.
“On 13 December 2021, Swiss Ambassador Muriel Peneveyre and Deputy Head of Mission/Head of International Cooperation Alberto Hernandez, jointly held a press event on the launch of the new Cooperation Program,” said the state secretariat.
SECO is the federal government’s center of expertise for core issues relating to economic policy. Its aim is to ensure sustainable economic growth, high employment and fair working conditions by providing a stable environment for regulatory, economic and foreign trade policy.
