BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 20. Kazakhstan has no problems exporting uranium through Russia, Kazakhstan's Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov said, Trend reports citing the Kazakh government.

Currently, St. Petersburg is the main route for the export of Kazakh uranium products to European countries, he noted.

“The main route for the delivery of uranium products from Kazakhstan to European markets is through the St. Petersburg seaport. As of now, European countries did not ban import of Kazakh uranium products supplied through Russia,” Smailov said.

According to him, at the same time, starting from 2018, Kazatomprom National Atomic Company JSC has been successfully transporting uranium products to France, Canada, Romania and India through Kazakh ports on the Caspian Sea in order to diversify export routes.
