Iran shares data on imports of livestock input

TEHRAN, Iran, May 23. Iran is importing one million tons of livestock input carried by 20 ships, said the Managing Director of the State Livestock Affairs Logistics Company Mohsen Salami, Trend reports citing IRNA.

"Iran has imported 3.5 million tons of livestock input and 750,000 tons of soybeans in the past two months," he said.

Salami noted that the State Livestock Affairs Logistics Company supplies 20,000 tons of input from Imam Khomeini port to support producers. Five more ships will unload 40,000 tons of input in the coming days.

According to the official, the country stores 70,000 tons of chicken in its reserves to avoid any shortages.
