BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 10. Kazakhstan's Samruk-Kazyna JSC and the J.P. Morgan investment bank explored the IPO (Initial Public Offering) access prospects for KazMunayGas (KMG) and Air Astana JSC, Trend reports citing the company.
The issue was addressed during the meeting of Chairman of the Board of Samruk-Kazyna JSC Almasadam Satkaliyev with Managing Director, Head of CIS Coverage at J.P. Morgan Timur Kunanbayev and Managing director, Head of investment banking for Russia and Ukraine and Deputy Chief Executive at J.P. Morgan Yan Tavrovsky.
Thus, the sides discussed possible adjustments to the IPO structure due to the geopolitical situation in the region.
Furthermore, Samruk-Kazyna JSC has already cooperated with J.P. Morgan as part of granting the IPO access to NAC Kazatomprom JSC in 2018, as well as in a subsequent secondary offering in 2019.
