BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 30. Iran's trade turnover with Azerbaijan amounted to about 189,000 tons worth about $170 million, during the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through June 21, 2022), the Spokesman for the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) Rouhollah Latifi told Trend.

The customs official noted that Iran exported 182,000 tons of goods worth more than $161 million to Azerbaijan in three months.

“Meanwhile, Iran's imports from Azerbaijan for 3 months amounted to about 6,400 tons worth $8.27 million,” Latifi added.

The spokesman also stressed that Azerbaijan ranked second in Iran's trade turnover among the Caspian littoral states.

Over 3 months, Iran's trade turnover with the Caspian littoral states amounted to about 1.75 million tons worth about $881 million.

Azerbaijan, Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Iran are in the five Caspian littoral states.
