TEHRAN, Iran, September 27. Iran is preparing to launch an international stock exchange in Kish Free Zone in the next four months, said Managing Director of Kish Free Zone Organization Mehdi Keshavarz, Trend reports citing Fars News Agency.
The Securities & Exchange High Council of Iran has approved to establish an offshore bank and international stock exchange in the zone, he said.
He pointed out that necessary conditions must be provided, including inviting international stock companies and domestic companies to participate.
The essential infrastructure for international stock exchange should be defined as well, Keshavarz said.
The official indicated that the name of the participating companies will be announced in the next four months after the preparation for establish of international stock exchange is complete.
