Iran to boost ties with Turkmenistan

TEHRAN, Iran, November 3. The Iranian government has accelerated the development of ties with Turkmenistan, said the deputy governor of Golestan Province Mohammad Dehnavi, Trend reports citing IRNA.

The Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade has approved 5,000 plate numbers for transporting commodities in Incheh Borun at Gonbad-e Qabus County that would support the development of Golestan province, Dehnavi noted.

The official has underlined an upcoming trilateral meeting between Golestan Province, Turkmenistan, and Russia in next month for investment in the railway in the province and its connection to the south of Iran.

The private sector in Golestan Province has participated in the development of ties with Turkmenistan during the recent visit of a delegation from Golestan Province to Turkmenistan.

The Iranian delegation has pursued accelerating truck transportation via Inche Borun, reduce of transit tariffs for entrance to Turkmenistan, an increase of customs working hours, developing the railway, and using the capacity of ports in the two countries.
