BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 21. Overall, Iran exported more than 35.5 million tons of mining products worth approximately $9.09 billion, during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through December 21, 2022), Trend reports citing Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).

According to the report, Iran's mining exports decreased by 2 percent in value, while increased by 5 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.

Within 9 months, Iran exported $4.88 billion worth of raw steel and steel products, $1.12 billion worth of copper and related products, as well as $854 million worth of aluminum and related products, and $2.24 billion worth of other mining products.

Meanwhile, in the 9th month of the current Iranian year (November 22 through December 21, 2022) alone, Iran exported mining products worth $1.23 billion.

In addition, Iran imported about 3.2 million tons of mining products worth $3.54 billion in 9 months, which is an increase of 3 percent in value and 32 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.
