BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 24. The value of Iran’s imports through customs of Bushehr Province (southern Iran), increased by 44 percent, during the first 10 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through January 20, 2023), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Customs Inspector of Bushehr Province Customs Office Ali Soleimani told Tasnim News Agency, Trend reports.
Within 10 months, $1.6 billion worth of goods were imported through the province’s customs, Soleimani said.
He added that necessary equipment and spare parts for nuclear power plants, various types of fabric, tea, as well as spare parts for car, motorcycle and bicycle and so on were the main imported goods through the customs of Bushehr Province in 10 months.
The official noted that the mentioned goods were mainly imported from China, the UAE, Russia, India, Philippines, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Türkiye, South Korea and Japan.
Generally, Iran's imports amounted to 28.1 million tons worth $44.3 billion from the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022) to December 31, 2022.
Within 9 months and 10 days, Iran's imports increased by 14.7 percent in value and 10 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.
