BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 31. Iranian banks issued loans worth 1.64 quadrillion rials (about $39.1 billion) in the agricultural sector of the country, during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through December 21, 2022) Trend reports via the statistics of the Central Bank of Iran (CBI).

According to the statistics, about 400 trillion rials (about $9.53 billion) worth of loans were issued for the establishment of enterprises and the planting of gardens, and arable lands in the agricultural sector.

In addition, 1.4 quadrillion rials (about $33.5 billion) worth of loans were issued as working capital in the agricultural sector within the mentioned period.

At the same time, 113 trillion rials (about $2.7 billion) worth of loans were issued for the development of Iran's agricultural sector in 10 months.

Moreover, 41 trillion rials (about $977 million) worth of loans were issued for self-employment in the agricultural sector, and 3.2 trillion rials (about $76.1 million) for the purchase of personal assets.

Generally, the Iranian banks issued loans worth 25 quadrillion rials (about $595 billion) in various economic sectors in the country during the first 9 months of the current Iranian year.
