BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 2. Iran’s non-oil exports through the customs of Zanjan Province in the west of the country, decreased by 54 percent in value and 48 percent in volume, during the first month of the current Iranian year (March 21 through April 20, 2023), compared to the same month in the last Iranian year, Director General of Zanjan Province Customs Office, Zenyolabedin Ganj Khanloo told reporters, Trend reports citing ISNA.

According to Ganj Khanloo, in total, 14,600 tons of non-oil products worth $24 million were exported through the province’s customs for the 1st month.

“In addition, 53,000 tons of goods worth $69 million were imported through the customs of the Zanjan Province in the first month. This is an increase of 148 percent in value and 146 percent in volume compared to the same month in the last year,” he added.

Overall, Iran exported about 10.5 million tons of non-oil products worth approximately $3.65 billion for the first month of the current Iranian year (March 21 through April 20, 2023).

This is a decrease of 12.9 percent in value, while an increase of 17.7 percent in volume compared to the same month in the last year.

Meanwhile, Iran imported 1.83 million tons of goods worth $3.08 billion for the 1st month. The imports decreased by 13 percent in value and 24.8 percent in volume compared to the same month in the last year.
