BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 25. Approximately 357,000 tons of cargo were transported from Milak and Mirjaveh border terminals of Iran’s Sistan and Baluchestan Province (south-eastern Iran), during the first two months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through May 21, 2023), Director General for Road Maintenance and Transportation Department of the province Ayyoub Kord said, Trend reports.
The official said that the mentioned volume of cargo was transported by 15,300 trucks.
According to Kord, 192,000 tons of cargo were exported, 17,600 tons were imported, and 147,000 tons were transited through Milak and Mirjaveh border terminals in 2 months.
He noted that the exported goods were liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), gasoline, other petroleum products, and cement, while the imported products were mainly rice, sesame, and red meat.
The director general also added that on average, 446 trucks crossed through Milak and Mirjaveh border terminals daily within 2 months.
Iran's Milak border terminal is located on the Iran-Afghanistan border, while Mirjaveh border terminal is located on the Iran-Pakistan border.
