BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 22. The value of Iran’s non-oil exports via customs of Razavi Khorasan Province in the north-east of the country, increased by 40 percent, during the first two months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through May 21, 2022), compared to the same period in the last year, Supervisor of Razavi Khorasan Province Customs Office Javad Jafari said, Trend reports.
Overall, $250 million worth of non-oil products were exported through the province’s customs in 2 months, Jafari noted.
According to him, the main exported goods were saffron, apples, polythene, pistachios and etc.
The customs official also added that the mentioned products were mainly exported to Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Iraq.
In general, there are 5 customs - Dogharoon, Lotfabad, Bajgiran, Sarakhs and Mashhad in Razavi Khorasan Province of Iran. The province has a 531 km long common border with Turkmenistan and 302 km long with Afghanistan.
In total, Iran exported 21 million tons of non-oil products worth $7.51 billion within the first two months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through May 21, 2023).
This is an increase of 12.3 percent in value, while a decrease of 13.7 percent in volume compared to the same period in the last Iranian year.
