Iran unveils details of non-oil exports/imports via Qom Province’s customs

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 26. As many as 67,800 tons of non-oil products worth about $72.7 million were exported through the customs of Iran’s Qom Province in the north of the country, during the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through June 21, 2023), Director General of Qom Province Customs Office, Esfandiar Derikvandi said, Trend reports.

The director general noted that non-oil products via the province’s customs were exported to 30 countries, mainly Iraq, Pakistan, the UAE, Afghanistan, Türkiye, Russia and other countries.

“In addition, 19,000 tons of goods worth $103 million were imported through the customs of the province in 3 months,” he added.

According to Derikvandi, the revenue of the province's customs for the reporting period amounted to 1.77 trillion rials (about $42.2 million), which is an increase of 79 percent compared to the same period in the last year.

Overall, Iran exported 35.5 million tons of non-oil products worth $12.5 billion within the first three months of the current Iranian year.

This is a decrease of 8.84 percent in value, while an increase of 24.4 percent in volume compared to the same period in the last year.

At the same time, Iran imported 9.6 million tons of goods worth $14 billion in 3 months, which is an increase of 5.79 percent in value and 1 percent in volume compared to the same period in the last year.
