BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 3. Iran’s non-oil exports through the customs of Khuzestan Province (south-western Iran), decreased by 32 percent in value and 16 percent in volume, during the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through June 21, 2023), compared to the same period in the last year, Customs Inspector of Khuzestan Province Behrouz Gharabeigi said, Trend reports.
According to Gharabeigi, 5.04 million tons of non-oil products worth $1.37 billion were exported via the province’s customs in 3 months.
He added that the main exported non-oil products for the reporting period were petrochemical products, agricultural products, steel, construction materials and etc.
The official also said that the mentioned goods were mainly exported to the UAE, Iraq, China, Türkiye, Russia, Afghanistan and Pakistan.
“In 3 months, Khuzestan Province ranked the first in Iran’s total non-oil exports in volume and the second place in value,” he said.
Overall, Iran exported 35.5 million tons of non-oil products worth $12.5 billion within the first three months of the current Iranian year.
This is a decrease of 8.84 percent in value, while an increase of 24.4 percent in volume compared to the same period in the last year.
