Iran’s imports from Türkiye rise in value and volume

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 13. Iran's imports from Türkiye increased by 13.5 percent in value and 10.8 percent in volume, during the first 4 months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through July 22, 2023), compared to the same period in the last year, Trend reports.

As reflected in the report of Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), Iran imported circa 1.09 million tons of goods worth approximately $2.03 billion from Türkiye in 4 months.

In the same period of last Iranian year, Iran's import from Türkiye stood at 983,000 tons worth $1.79 billion.

Iran mainly imported various types of equipment, food products, raw materials, fabric, etc. from Türkiye over 4 months.

Meanwhile, in the 4th month alone (June 22 through July 22, 2023), Iran imported 245,000 tons of goods worth $523 million from Türkiye.

Overall, Iran imported 11.8 million tons of goods worth $19.5 billion within the first 4 months of the current Iranian year.

This is an increase of 10.8 percent in value and 6.18 percent in volume compared to the same period last year.
