The Transport Ministry of Azerbaijan jointly with the British Scot Wilson set to development of the “Transport Sector Development Strategy in Azerbaijan”, the head of the transport policy and economy of the Azerbaijan’s Transport Ministry Sadraddin Mammadov told Trend.
The “Transport Sector Development Strategy in Azerbaijan" will be elaborated on the grant of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) of $350,000. The consultation services by the document preparation will be made by the British Scot Wilson.
According to him, the initial report on the transport field state in the country has been prepared and it will be produced to ADB in December. The “Transport Sector Development Strategy in Azerbaijan’ will last till I quarter of 2006 followed by submission to the government for consideration.
The document will cover development of the country’ infrastructure, the ways for increasing freight in transport corridors, rehabilitation of roads and etc.
