Visit of Azeri veterinaries to Turkey over

The visit of the specialists of the State Veterinary Service under the Azerbaijani Agriculture Ministry to Turkey was over. The goal of the visit was to study the situation related with bird flu in the country, Emin Shahbazov, the deputy head of the Service, told Trend. During the visit the specialists discussed prevention of the desease.

The Service noted that Rafig Muradov, the head of the expedition on struggle with epizootic, was on visit to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (AR) to strengthen the control and measures on prevention of spreading of disease in the territory of the republic.

It should be mentioned that around 1,600 infected birds were annihilate in the Kerpulyar village, the Igdyr province, Turkey. The source of infection is in 40 km away from the Nakhchivan AR. The Azerbaijani government carries out intensive control at the border with Turkey and conducts appropriate monitoring.
