The State committee on state property management is evaluating the report of a governmental consultant on privatization of the state share in the founding capital of Azercell joint company, the state committee chairman, Kerem Hasanov told Trend.
CA IB Corporate Finance Beratungs Ges.m.b.H and OMNI are responsible for providing the consulting services to the state. Works have to be done very carefully, due to the strategic value of the company for the state, he said.
The given procedure is carried out in accordance with the 29th
of March 2001 presidential decree on privatization of the Ministry` s of communication objects and facilities.
According to the privatization rules, state share will be offered to the foreign founder, which is in case of Azercell Dutch company Fintour Holding.
74 other companies with the state share will be privatized as well. 27 of them are already presented for privatization since the start of campaign. The state share has been sold only in 6 of them.
