The National Bank of Azerbaijan (NBA) announced that new 50 and 100 manat banknotes have been brought in the country and will be released into use from April 25.
50 manat banknote is dedicated to the subject of education and future. Its size is 148 x 70 mm and it is printed on white paper. It has sun- as a symbol of power and light and chemical and mathematical symbols as symbols of science depicted on its one side. The reverse side depicts Azerbaijan in maps of integration to Europe and decorations from
the ancient national carpets.
100 manat banknote is dedicated to economy and development. Its size is 155x70 mm. it has symbols of national architecture as a symbol of economic growth on one side. Its reverse side depicts Azerbaijan in maps of integration to Europe and decorations from the ancient national carpets.
Both papers have the following protection elements: hidden digits on the front side, water signs in form of the word MANAT, magic number (from greenish to scarlet color), holographic and ultraviolet elements. The reverse side has a metal thread and ultraviolet elements.
