(autoinsidernews) - Another prototype of the next-generation Cadillac CTS has be caught during testing, but this one is no run of the mill CTS, it is the CTS-v Differentiated from the regular CTS, this V-series prototype features a huge bulge in the hood, performance wheels and tires, and quad exhaust tips, reports Trend.
Based on what sounds were heard coming from the car, the photographer states that the CTS-v is going to be powered by a supercharged engine. The new engine will likely be a supercharged version of the 4.6L V8 seen in the regular CTS. Power is expected to be in the 550-600 hp range.
Production of the high-performance CTS is expected to begin in late 2008, with an annual cap of about 7,500 units.
