Azerbaijan and Turkey will jointly finance the construction of Baku-Kars-Akhalkalaki railway, the Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Turan Morali briefed media on October 11, Trend reports.
He stressed that nearly $400 mln is needed for the construction of the rail link. Today the Turkish delegation arrived to discuss the construction issues. The construction of Baku-Kars-Akhalkalaki railway will further foster the development of the political, strategic and economical relations between turkey and Azerbaijan, Morali stressed.
According to the Ambassador, the transportation of cargos through this railway will take expenses cheaper than other transport means by 3 times.
