(autoinsidernews) - According to trade publication Automotive News, Ford CEO Alan Mulally is not completely satisfied with the automaker's accelerated

Way Forward plan that it announced in mid-September. Mulally said that the automaker is working on a better version of the restructuring plan, reports Trend.

Ford's original Way Forward plan was announced in January and is updated and accelerated in September following concerns that the original plan moved too slowly. Called Way Forward 2.0″ by analysts, the updated plan was also criticized due to a lack of specifics.

Mulally said that the Way Forward 3.0″ will address the two areas needing the most enhancement, including product plan and manufacturing productivity. It is what it is today. But with the shifts in customer demand, we know we're going to end up with changes to that plan across the entire portfolio, Mulally said.
