007 likely to drive Jaguar XF in Bond 22

(autoinsidernews) - James Bond is unlikely to be behind the wheel of an Aston Martin in the next 007 film, according to Bond fansite MI6. Ford Motor Co. has a three-film, $100 million contract to place its vehicles in the Bond movies. The automaker has showcased Bond's signature Aston Martin in the last two films.

Ford has put Aston Martin up for sale and sale will likely be finalized some time early this year. While Bond will likely drop his Aston Martin ride, his car is likely to remain a British brand. Ford is expected showcase its Jaguar brand in the next Bond film, reports Trend.

The Jaguar of choice will be the forthcoming XF sedan, which was previewed at the Detroit Auto Show with the C-XF Concept. The Jaguar XF is expected in showrooms by the time the next 007 movie is in theaters in 2008.
