Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend S.Aliyev / On 1 May the State Railway Department of Azerbaijan acquired two trains from Russia, the Department reports.
Four more trains will be delivered to Azerbaijan in the near future which will be purchased at the expense of the Department. Last year Azerbaijan received four trains from Russia at a cost of $220,000. However, at present their prices have increased. In addition, last year the State Railway Department acquired five new trains from Russia through the finance budget totaling AZN 10 mln.
Currently the State Railway Department of Azerbaijan uses 111 locomotives, with 90 for transportation of cargos and 21 for passengers.
