Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend / Azerbaijani-United States Business Forum will be held in Los-Angeles on 31 May, the report of the Azerbaijan Export and Investments Promotion Fund (AZPROMO) released on 25 May reported. The event will be organized by the Azerbaijani Economic Development Ministry, AZPROMO, Consulate General of Azerbaijan Republic in Los-Angeles and Azerbaijani-US Chamber of Commerce.
The delegation to be headed by the Deputy Minister for Economic Development, Mikayil Jabbarov, will include 10 businessmen engaged in construction, engineering, industry, agriculture, trade and other fields. The businessmen will hold direct talks within the framework of the event.
The share of foreign turnover in the United States made up 2.5% in 2006 (3.76% in import, and 1.4% in export). Total goods turnover between the countries increased by 57.2%, compared to 2005, and comprised $290mln, with an import of $198mln (40.1% increase) and export of $92mln (112.9% increase).
