Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend / The Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has confirmed that several documents were signed with Korea during his visit to that county on 23-24 April.
The agreements signed between the Azerbaijani Transport Ministry and the Korean Ministry of Construction particularly include memorandums on mutual understanding on the establishment of the Baku International Marine Trade Port, on establishment of intellectual city transport management system, as well as cooperation in the railway sector.
The President also confirmed a memorandum on mutual understanding on scientific and technical cooperation between the Azerbaijani Transport Ministry and the Korean Transport Institute.
Intergovernmental memorandums on mutual understanding on handling emergencies, mutual cooperation in the development of mineral resources, youth and formation of an electronic government were also confirmed.
The two countries signed and confirmed memorandums on mutual understanding in the energy sector between the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economic Development and the Korean Electricity Corporation, between the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan and the National Oil Corporation of Korea and between the Azerbaijan Ministry of Industry and Energy and STX Energy Co Ltd of Korea.
