Azerbaijan, Baku/ Trend / In January to May of 2007, Azerbaijan has imported goods from CIS countries in the amount of $720,193,700. It equals 35.9 % of the total volume of import of the country, the State Customs Committee states.
Within this period, Azerbaijan exported its goods to CIS countries in the amount of $413,418,800 (22.2% out of the total export of the country). The import and export operations with CIS countries ended in balance with $306,774,900 in the red.
Azerbaijan mainly exported sugar, sweet confectionery goods, oil products, chemical substances, animal and vegetable oils, cotton, and fruits to CIS countries.
The Country mainly imported mineral fuel, grain-crops, equipment, mechanic plants, and black metallurgy production from CIS countries.
