Most Azerbaijani Buses to be Out of Use

Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. S.Aliyev / Azerbaijani Transport Ministry has reported that the Azerbaijani Trans Geyt company will deliver to Baku some 200 buses of Daewoo mark in August within the framework of the contract signed with the South Korean company. Some 100 buses bought from the Nihad motors company will also delivered to Baku in August.

The Ministry noted that most buses currently used in Baku would be taken out of service. The buses do not meet technical requirements, as well as to the program of the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, on upgrade transport infrastructure.

Some part of buses will be sent to regions, and the other part will not be used.

The total fee of the contract on acquisition of 1,000 buses of Korean Daewoo International Corp. production will comprise $60,000. The contract was signed between the Trans Geyt Azerbaijani company and Daewoo International Corp. the South Korean company in Baku in February.
