Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend / The representatives of Azerbaijani Transport Ministry have submitted their comments and suggestions on the project on construction of Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway to the Turkish side, according to the Ministry.
The project was designed by Turkish Yuksel Domanic Engineering Limited company. The meeting was attended by the representatives of Azerbaijani railway and Ministry of Transport. Azerbaijan's proposals and comments on a part of the railway in Georgia linking Georgian Akhalkalaki region with Turkish border (Kartsakhi) developed by Yuks?l Domanic were discussed and accepted.
After the construction and reconstruction work in Baku-Tbilisi-Kars is completed the railway will correspond to all international standards and at the same time will have opportunity to receive any kind of carriages used in the CIS for transportation of cargo and passengers, according to the Ministry.
