The price for oil produced by the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) climbed to 51.20 dollars on Friday, the group announced Monday.
The price for one barrel (159 litres) of OPEC crude rose by 1.20 dollars at the end of the week, dpa reported.
The Vienna-based cartel calculates an average price based on 12 brands produced by its members.
