SOCAR is preparing for casing a high-output production well at the offshore field "March 8" in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, a source in SOCAR, developing the fields at its own expense, said.
Expected daily well production is about 350,000 cubic meters of gas and 40 tons of condensate.
"The work of drilling wells continues. Now its depth is 3,070 meters. The casing will be lowered to a depth of 3,100 meters", a source said. Specific depth is 5,800 meters.

The work on drilling new wells will be completed before the end of the year.
Daily production from the deposit "March 8" is 400,000 cubic meters of gas. Geologists of the company have identified nine points for further drilling, SOCAR said.
There are 59 oil and gas fields in Azerbaijan, of which 18 are offshore, others - onshore.
