Uzbekistan decreases oil and condensate production by 18.8 percent in January-September

Uzbekneftegaz National Holding Company (NHC), monopolistic operator of oil and gas sector of Uzbekistan in January-September 2010 decreased production of liquid hydrocarbons (oil and gas condensate) by 18.8 percent to 2.781 million tons compared to the same period of 2009, State Statistics Committee of the Uzbek Republic said.

Uzbekneftegaz National Holding Company (NHC), monopolistic operator of oil and gas sector of Uzbekistan in January-September 2010 decreased production of liquid hydrocarbons (oil and gas condensate) by 18.8 percent to 2.781 million tons compared to the same period of 2009, State Statistics Committee of the Uzbek Republic said.

Gas condensate production also decreased by 24.1 per cent - to 1.248 million tons, oil - by 13.8 percent - to 1.533 million tons.

From early 2010, Uzbekneftegaz decreased gasoline production by 11 percent - to 1.067 million tons, kerosene - by 9.2 percent to 272,500 tons, diesel fuel - by 13.8 percent, to 855,100 tons, furnace fuel oil - by 36.9 percent, to 251,000 tons, oil bitumen - to 14.1 percent, to 149,900 tons.

In January- September 2010, natural gas production decreased by 2.9 percent - to 45,113 billion cubic meters, hydrocarbon liquefied gases increased by 0.2 percent to 188,500 tons

It was reported that in 2009 liquid hydrocarbons production in Uzbekistan decreased by 7.4 percent compared to 2008- to 4.455 million tons, natural gas production by 3.7 percent to 61,408 billion cubic meters.

Uzbekneftegaz was established in 1998 and brings together six joint stock companies.
