Gas transit through Kazakhstan increases in January-March

Gas transit through Kazakhstan amounted to 18.846 billion cubic meters in January-March, 2012 compared to 17.812 billion cubic meters during the same period of 2011, the Central Dispatching Department of the Kazakh Statistics Agency told Trend.
In March, 2012 gas transit through the country was carried out to the amount of 6.767 billion cubic meters compared to 5.516 billion in February and 6.391 billion cubic meters in March, 2011.
Some 2.706 billion cubic meters of the total volume of gas transit through Kazakhstan in January-March, 2012 accounted for Central Asian gas compared to 3.618 billion cubic meters during the same period of 2011.
In March, 2012 the Central Asian gas was transported through the country to the amount of 0.933 billion cubic meters compared to 1.492 billion in March, 2011.
