While Iran's petrol consumption dropped 9.3 percent in the first week of the holy month of Ramadan, it decreased another 6.1 percent to 57.2 million liters a day for the second week of Ramadan.
Shana news agency reports the highest demand for petrol was on Saturday, July 28, with a little more than 62 million liters used.
Diesel consumption averaged 103.5 million liters a day last week for a total of 724.5 million liters. That's a 15.1 percent jump, more than 95 million liters, over the weeks before. The day with the highest diesel used was Monday, July 30, with over 129 million liters used.
