Uzbekneftegaz extends tender for construction of compressor station in Ustyurt

National Holding Company (NHC) Uzbekneftegaz extended reception of bids on the construction of a booster compressor station (BCS) in the field Eastern Berdah in Ustyurt (north-western Uzbekistan) worth $95.46 million until January 21, 2013 due to the lack of competitive bids, a representative of the holding told Trend.

National Holding Company (NHC) Uzbekneftegaz extended reception of bids on the construction of a booster compressor station (BCS) in the field Eastern Berdah in Ustyurt (north-western Uzbekistan) worth $95.46 million until January 21, 2013 due to the lack of competitive bids, a representative of the holding told Trend.

The tender was announced in October of this year, it was planned to summarize its results by the end of the year.

Now the results of the tender will be summed up in the first quarter of 2013.

According to the rules, the winner must implement manufacturing, supply and engineering capacity ABAC two billion cubic meters of gas a year. The completion of the BCS scheduled for the third quarter of 2013.

According to the terms of the tender, the winner must manufacture, supply equipment and conduct engineering at the station which produces two billion cubic meters of gas per year. The station will be constructed in the third quarter of 2013.

The construction will be financed through the loan from the Fund for Reconstruction and Development of Uzbekistan for $58 million and equity of NHC Uzbekneftegaz.

Monopoly operator of the oil and gas industry of Uzbekistan is the National Holding Company (NHC) Uzbekneftegaz, which provides more than 90 percent of the production of hydrocarbons in the country. Uzbekneftegaz was established in 1998 and brings together six joint stock companies.

Capacities of NHC Uzbekneftegaz, make it possible to provide natural gas production in the amount of 70 billion cubic meters and liquid hydrocarbons in the amount of eight million tons per year.
