Gas transit through Kazakhstan increases

Gas transit through Kazakhstan amounted to 7.385 billion cubic meters in January, 2013 compared to 6.563 billion cubic meters in January, 2012, the Central Dispatching Department of the Kazakh Statistics Agency told Trend.

In December, 2012 gas transit through the country was carried out to the amount of 6.415 billion cubic meters.

In 2012 as transit through Kazakhstan amounted to 76.577 billion cubic meters compared to 78.41 billion cubic meters in 2011.

Some 934 million cubic meters of the total volume of gas transit through Kazakhstan in January, 2013, accounted for Central Asian gas compared to 930 million cubic meters in January, 2012 and 913 million cubic meters in December, 2012.

In 2012 total volume of the Central Asian gas transported through the country amounted to 10.957 billion cubic meters compared to 14.461 billion cubic meters in 2011.
