Azerbaijan has fully ensured its energy security, Azerbaijani Minister of Industry and Energy Natiq Aliyev told media today.
"In the early 1990s Azerbaijan experienced great difficulty with the provision of electricity, gas and oil products," he said. "But the country is independent and has fully ensured its energy security now."
Alongside, the country contributes to the development and energy security of the Caspian-Black Sea region and strengthens its positions as a leader.
"The projects, implemented by Azerbaijan, acquire not only regional but global significance," he said. "Strengthening Azerbaijan's position as a major oil and gas country testifies to this."
