Russian Perm Oil Machine Engineering Company has won the tender for heavy wall drill pipes supplies to Kazakh Batys-Munai, Russian Perm region's press-service reported.
The pipes will be used at Aschisay oil and gas field in the Kazakh Kyzylorda region.
The deal is worth 6.3 million rubles (36.08 rubles = $1). The deliveries are scheduled for April 2014.
Heavy wall drill pipe are used for drilling of complex horizontal wells.
"Kazakhstan actively works on oil and gas production. But drilling equipment production is less developed than in Russia. Therefore, we plan to increase supplies to the country where demand exceeds supply," head of Perm Oil Machine Engineering Company Vladimir Zharennikov said.
It is the first contract between Perm Oil Machine Engineering Company and Batys-Munai. Earlier this Russian company supplied its products to Kazakh SpetsSnabSistema.
Perm Oil Machine Engineering Company produces oilfield equipment and provides services in making deep precision bores for products of special purpose: for aviation, atomic, chemical and other industries.
The company supplies the equipment in all regions of Russia as well to Azerbaijan, Belarus, Lithuania, Ukraine, Tajikistan and other countries.
