Iran’s PSEEZ exports surpass $1.2 bln

Some 1.405 million tons of products worth over $1.266 billion have been exported from Iran's the Pars Special Economic Energy Zone (PSEEZ), located in southwest of the country, in the first calendar month of the current year (which started on March 21).

Managing director of PSEEZ Khodadad Rahimi said that the figures show 11 and 28 percent increase in terms of weight and value, respectively, the IRNA News Agency reported on May 4.

Managing director of PSEEZ went on to note that gas condensates accounted for 60 percent of the mentioned amount.

The goods were exported to some 29 countries including China, Japan, the United Arab Emirates, India, Turkey, Iraq, Taiwan, Malaysia, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Armenia, Russia, Mozambique, Egypt, Syria, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Ukraine, Qatar, Tanzania, the Philippines, Ghana, Kenya, Azerbaijan, Georgia, South Korea, and Mexico.

Some 3,388 tons of goods worth $36.875 million were also imported to PSEEZ in the mentioned month.

Iran exported over $2 billion worth of gas condensates and petrochemicals from the Pars Special Economic Energy Zone (PSEEZ) in the first calendar month of the current year (which started on March 21).

The figures shows 9 per cent increase compared to the same period of time previous year, Iran's Mehr News Agency reported on April 29.

China, Egypt, Japan, Mexico, Russia, South Korea, Turkey, and Ukraine were top destinations for Iranian products.

Some 850,000 barrels of gas condensates worth over $780 million were exported from PSEEZ in the mentioned period.

The mentioned figures show 38 and 44 per cent increase in terms of weight and value, respectively.

Some $1.266 billion worth of petrochemicals were also exported from PSEEZ in the mentioned month.

Iran exported over $14.35 billion worth of gas condensates and petrochemicals from PSEEZ in the previous fiscal year, which ended on March 20.

Khodadad Rahimi, said on April 8 that some 8.85 million tons of gas condensates worth over $7.09 billion were exported from PSEEZ in the mentioned period.
